ANNOUNCING THE INDUSTRY SCREENING OF ‘DAY OF A LION’

We are thrilled to announce an exclusive industry screening of the highly anticipated film Day of a Lion, hosted by the talented twin actors and filmmakers Bianca and Dilara Foscht. Mark your calendars for August 11th at 7:30 PM in Hollywood, where industry members will have the opportunity to experience this remarkable feature directorial debut.
Day of a Lion has already made waves in the film festival circuit, premiering at the Wales International Film Festival and winning the prestigious Best Foreign Feature Film Award. The film has continued to garner accolades, securing seven awards at the Idyllwild International Cinema Fest, including Best International Feature Film and acting awards for its three lead cast members: Bianca Foscht (Wanda), Dilara Foscht (Dolly), and Simone Neviani (Geronimo). The Foscht twins also received a nomination for the Best First Time Filmmakers Award at the Montreal International Film Festival, solidifying their place as rising stars in the industry.
Set in the late 1950s, Day of a Lion is a gripping psycho-drama that follows two sisters who reunite at their childhood home after their father’s death. As they delve into their family’s past, they uncover forgotten secrets and confront old wounds, leading to a tense game of cat and mouse in the house of a deceased man. The film is a multi-lingual exploration inspired by German expressionism and the Kammerspiele, a style of intimate theatre productions that emerged in Germany during the early 20th century. With a runtime of 1 hour and 26 minutes, the film aims to blend American filmmaking techniques with European storytelling traditions.
The film will be released digitally and on VOD platforms by Gravitas Ventures on August 15, just a few days after the industry screening. This is a unique opportunity for industry members to get an early look at a film that promises to leave a lasting impression.
